This is the first-ever sketch of the grammar of Sanenyo language of the Nicobarese language family spoken in Chowra and other islands of Nicobar and Andaman, India. The language has been declared "critically endangered" by UNESCO; however, our fieldwork establishes beyond doubt that it is a vibrant language, transferred inter-generationally and learnt by other islanders as it is considered easy to learn. The local speakers of Sanenyo are proud to retain and sustain their indigenous language. The grammar is based on the first hand intensive fieldwork conducted on the location.
