विवरण : An Introduction to Meetei Mayek: Reading and Writing is a semi-auto instructional material for reading and writing Meetei Mayek, the script used in writing Meeteilon (Manipuri) language. The main objective of this book is to enable the Meeteilon language learners to read and write Meetei Mayek. The illustrations of individual Meetei Mayek letters with simplified hand movements will enable the learners how to write the script quite easily. It also provides spaces in the book itself to practice writing the letters. On the other hand, Roman equivalent sounds, phonetic values in IPA, phonetic descriptions of the individual letters are provided, which will enable the learner pronounce the letters appropriately. The exercises at the end of every lesson will help the learners test and evaluate themselves.
